Lead Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily
Macdonald & Company is partnered with a nationally recognized real estate developer focused on delivering exceptional multifamily communities. As part of their growth in the Texas market, we are seeking a motivated Lead Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on major construction projects across the region. This is a great opportunity for a driven Assistant Superintendent who is ready to take the next step into a Superintendent role within the next 6-12 months.
Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and managing daily construction site activities
Support the General Superintendent in maintaining project schedules, logs, and reports
Conduct routine safety walks and enforce job site safety protocols
Track project progress and help lead subcontractor coordination meetings
Ensure all construction is in compliance with updated plans, specifications, and codes
Review and help process RFIs, change orders, and inspection reports
Coordinate field layout, quality assurance efforts, and punch list completion
Maintain project documentation using platforms like Procore and Excel
Communicate updates clearly to team members, subcontractors, and vendors
Participate in team and client meetings; assist with meeting documentation
Ideal Candidate Will Have
2-3+ years of experience in ground-up multifamily construction
Strong knowledge of construction processes, plans, and safety practices
Familiarity with field coordination, punch lists, inspections, and schedules
Experience with construction management software (Procore, Textura, MS Office)
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
OSHA 30 certification (completed or in progress)
Highly organized, dependable, and solutions-oriented
Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
Valid U.S. work authorization and driver's license
