We are seeking a Utility Operations Supervisor for night shift at our Lebanon Advanced Therapies Manufacturing Site to provide oversight of all utility operations, monitor operations in compliance with cGMP, and ensure equipment and systems are available, maintained, and repaired to applicable standards.
Responsibilities:
Assuring compliance with site procedures
Facilitating and communicating site utility events
Functional and technical leadership for our utility operations team
Monitoring and reporting utility system performance to site stakeholders
Responsible lead for coordinating and executing site utility operations
Support equipment failure investigations and/or root cause analysis into utility systems
Key Responsibilities - Lebanon Facility Pre-Startup and Startup Phase:
For training and on-boarding, this position will transition on day shift initially to supporting a 24/7 operation during peak activities for start-up on night shift.
Utility operations supervision will be 24/7/365 at the site
Lead a safety-first, quality always utility operations team
Ability to respond quickly and proactively to changing priorities within a reasonable timeframe
Cross functionally collaboration with Global Facility Delivery (GFD) to support project delivery
Participate in system Lockout Tagout (LOTO), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) work plans
Support and/or participate in system verification (commissioning and qualification) including system startup, shakedowns, initial/operational verification, and/or equipment qualification
Lebanon Facility Post Startup:
This is a night shift position: 5pm - 5:15am, 12-hour shifts, 3-2-2-3 format
Act as a point of contact for utility escalations and system communication
Provide direct reports supervision in the planning and implementation of their assigned duties and in developing goals and objectives
Ensure consistent work practices and implemented and applied to utility operations best practices
Ensure that the facility is always in an inspection readiness state for internal and external audits
Escort contractors and ensure training requirements are met before performing work
Maintain full knowledge of the building monitor system (BMS) to support troubleshooting activities related to Utility systems
Monitors overall job environmental, health and safety aspects and understands the risks associated with various utility maintenance and repair activities
Must be able to recognize hazard conditions, take appropriate workplace safety measures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment to suit work environment
Perform all aspects of the position by following cGMP’s and Safety/OSHA regulations
Provide 24-hour emergency response
Provides technical expertise to assist the Utility Operators in trouble shooting all problems as they occur on equipment in the Utility Room and within the Facility
Review/ evaluate corrective and emergency work orders for trends and support NCE’s, Change Controls, and SOPs as applicable for all qualified systems and areas
Review/ evaluate corrective and emergency work orders for trends and institute solutions as required
Supervise the Utility Operators in their performance and completion of all work activities to insure they are addressed in an accurate and timely manner
People Management:
Ensures training for the team is at or above the site goal
Ensure on-going learning and team reflection on-time completion of training requirements
Ensure the company values, standards, and polices are communicated to and modelled within the team
Identify and implement changes best work practices in conjunction with appropriate team members
Support direct reports in safety practices
Basic Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma (preferred associate degree)
Experience: Minimum of five years of utilities operations experience
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Knowledgeable of manufacturing operations and utilities operations
Familiar with maintenance CMMS
Previous supervisory/leadership experience
Ability to transition from day shift initially to supporting a 24/7 operation
Willing to support off-hour emergencies when necessary
Willing to obtain Waste Water Operator Certification from Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) and maintain continuing education credentials
