Base Pay Range
$24.00/hr - $34.00/hr Responsibilities
Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Models and enforces proper Customer/Members service approaches and techniques to resolve needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines. Oversees community outreach programs, encouraging Associates to serve as community members. Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center through analysis, reporting, asset protection, safety controls, operational and quality assurance reviews, and action plans. Provides supervision, development, hiring, training, mentoring, recognition, and a belonging mindset for Associates. Ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with members, measuring, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment. Upholds the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions. Coordinates and oversees job‑related activities, developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans, and improving performance. Promotes teamwork, embraces diversity, and creates a culture of belonging. Acts with integrity, models Walmart values, supports ethical standards, and fosters a regenerative culture. Serves customers and members by delivering results, applying EDLP and EDLC models, making data‑driven decisions, and balancing priorities. The hourly wage range for this position is $24.50 - $34.50. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location Minimum Qualifications
Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules. Preferred Qualifications
