Position Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the construction of a high-performance manufacturing facility, with a focus on cleanroom and dry room (CRDR) environments. The APM will work closely with the CRDR team and broader construction team to coordinate daily project activities, maintain documentation, support field operations, and ensure that project goals related to schedule, safety, and quality are consistently met. This individual must be a flexible and adaptable team player, as well as possess strong communication and client service skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience on technically complex, fast-paced industrial projects with direct exposure to advanced manufacturing and high-spec construction practices.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the project team in coordinating design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

Maintain and track project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and logs.

Review project contract documents, specifications and drawings.

Help monitor project schedules and budgets, flagging potential issues and assisting with corrective actions.

Interface with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to support project execution and resolve field-level challenges.

Participate in site walks, quality inspections, and safety audits to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

Ensure work is completed to quality standards and contract specifications.

Support material tracking, equipment deliveries, and subcontractor coordination—especially for critical clean room/dry room components.

Assist with document control and project management software (e.g., ProjectSight, Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel).

Help facilitate commissioning and close-out documentation, ensuring cleanroom and dry room environments meet required specs (e.g., ISO classification, dew point targets).

Demonstrate Yates Core Values and Principles.

Follow Yates Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

1–3 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, ideally with exposure to clean rooms, dry rooms, or high-tech manufacturing.

Familiarity with basic construction processes, documentation workflows, and subcontractor coordination.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.

Comfortable reading plans and specs and learning technical terminology related to HVAC, humidity control, and cleanroom systems.

High proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ProjectSight or similar platform is a plus.

Basic math/accounting skills.

Functions effectively as part of a team.

Time management and organizational skills.

Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a team environment.

Ideal Experience

Exposure to large-scale manufacturing construction, such as battery, semiconductor, or pharmaceutical projects.

Understanding of cleanroom classifications (ISO 14644) or environmental controls (e.g., dew point, particulate levels).
