Position Summary The Supply Chain Dock Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of supplies throughout the hospital. This position involves receiving, shipping, and distributing materials to various departments, ensuring timely and accurate availability of essential items.

Essential Functions

Serve as the primary contact for outbound carriers and manage dock traffic flow

Receive and verify incoming orders against shipping documents

Inspect packages for damage and assist in resolving shipping issues

Collaborate with purchasing to address discrepancies

Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and labeling

Enter completed purchase orders into the system

Coordinate delivery of capital equipment and sensitive supplies (e.g., tissue, implants, medication)

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Basic computer skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills (preferred)

Experience

Minimum 2 years in supply chain warehousing, receiving dock, or shipping/receiving

Experience with heavy equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) preferred

Familiarity with automated supply chain management systems
