Recruitment Consultant – Energy Transition Role: Project Manager – Engineering & Energy Services
A leading engineering firm in the NYC area is seeking a
Project Manager
to oversee and deliver high-impact projects in building automation, energy metering, and control system optimization. The company serves a diverse client base, including major medical campuses, universities, hospitals, and industrial facilities.
This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who excels in managing complex projects and collaborating with senior stakeholders. You’ll be responsible for driving project success from planning through execution, while leading a team of high-performing engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
Lead and support a team of technical professionals.
Oversee the creation and delivery of project documentation (e.g., reports, design packages).
Monitor and report on project performance using metrics such as % complete, revenue forecasting, and accrual accounting.
Provide regular updates to internal leadership.
Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
Maintain a high level of organization, communication, and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in project management within engineering or technical environments.
Strong organizational and scheduling capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Commitment to professional growth and leadership development.
Must meet client vaccination requirements (COVID-19 and Flu).
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS).
Understanding of commercial HVAC systems (chillers, boilers, air handling units).
Knowledge of NY/NJ utility incentive programs (ConEd, NYSERDA, NJ SmartStart).
Experience with energy project financing and funding strategies.
