Service Center Manager
Location: Knoxville, TN
Pay range: $70,500.00 – $90,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
Inspect and measure Service Center performance to identify opportunities or problems and develop solutions.
Maintain excellent communication with external and internal customers.
Analyze revenue statistics.
Identify sales opportunities, develop customer solutions, and keep informed of competitor developments.
Recruit, qualify, interview, hire, train, and develop Service Center personnel.
Develop sales and marketing action plans to maximize territory revenue.
Investigate, report, and initiate corrective actions for accidents, job‑related injuries, and employee discrepancies.
Understand and comply with Dayton Freight’s safety practices including DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA rules and regulations.
Evaluate all freight claims.
Ensure that Service Center premises are protected and maintained.
Facilitate informational meetings with Service Center team members.
Effectively handle special assignments as directed.
Qualifications
Knowledge of the LTL/Transportation industry.
Experience managing drivers and dock workers.
Experience managing a sales staff.
Experience developing and following a budget.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Fluent in English.
