The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the facilities, equipment, and grounds of First Chinese Baptist Church Walnut are maintained in excellent condition to support the ministries and activities of the church. This role oversees facilities functionality, coordinates maintenance and vendors, and ensures a safe and functional environment for church activities and events. Position Responsibilities

Oversee the upkeep, repair, and operation of church buildings, classrooms, offices, parking lots, and outdoor areas. Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and other systems. Coordinate inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations. Supervise and schedule custodial staff, volunteers, and contractors as needed. Manage vendor relationships for maintenance, landscaping, and specialized services. Provide guidance, training, and support to staff and volunteers involved in facility care. Develop and manage the maintenance budget in coordination with the Office Manager Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and warranties. Recommend improvements, renovations, or upgrades to facilities to better support ministry needs. Ensure facilities are safe, clean, and ready for worship services, events, and community use. Uphold health, safety, and fire regulations at all times. Promote good stewardship by extending the life of church property and resources. Perform ad-hoc ministry related duties as needed. Possesses the Ability To:

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with FCBC Walnut pastoral and administrative staff. Supervise staff, volunteers, and contractors effectively. Respond promptly to repair requests, emergencies, and facility-related issues. Effectively utilize computer and appropriate software (e.g., Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Education & Experience:

Previous and/or relevant experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related field required. Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical) required. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills strongly preferred Work Environment

May include some evenings, weekends, or on-call duties as ministry needs arise. Combination of office, classroom, and outdoor work.
