AdventHealth Tampa AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year. AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years. The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases. The role you'll contribute:
Under general supervision, performs sterile diagnostic, radiographic (IR), therapeutic endovascular (NI) and non-vascular interventional radiographic procedures and administers contrast agents at a technical level. Meets with vendors and provides equipment/supply recommendations. Other responsibilities include the safe care and processing of patients, ranging in age from newborn to geriatric. Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) within 30 minutes. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The value you'll bring to the team:
Assists physicians with sterile and non-sterile procedures, anticipates their needs, and utilizes knowledge of necessary equipment and supplies. Maintains intra-arterial access, performs manual and mechanical hemostasis, and uses closure devices as prescribed by licensed practitioners. Utilizes proper positioning criteria and technical exposure factors, ensuring correct patient demographics and annotations during post-processing. Operates and maintains imaging equipment safely, applies appropriate PPE, and follows infection control policies for handling biohazardous materials. Performs a full range of imaging and angiography procedures, adapting to new technologies and protocols, and addresses patient needs and anxieties. Qualifications
