The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks candidates for a
tenure-ineligible clinical Instructor
position for the
July 2025 - June 2026
recruitment year. This one-year, post-graduate regional anesthesia program offers advanced clinical, technical, and research training. The training will be based at the University of Virginia Medical Center and the UVA Outpatient Surgical Center, with the university performing over 7,000 peripheral nerve blocks and catheters annually.
Clinical duties will comprise approximately 80% fellow and 20% junior faculty work. Additional time will be allocated for research and conference attendance, in accordance with fellowship guidelines. Participants will be eligible for a quarterly incentive program, which provides payment for covering Friday or Saturday night call or Saturday elective schedules.
