The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking candidates for a
tenure-ineligible clinical Instructor
position for the
July 2025 - June 2026
recruitment year. This is a
one-year, post-graduate, regional program
designed to provide advanced clinical, technical, and research training in
regional anesthesia . The training will be based at the University of Virginia Medical Center and the UVA Outpatient Surgical Center, locations known for high-volume peripheral nerve blocks and catheter placements. The position involves approximately
80% clinical work (fellow level) and 20% junior faculty responsibilities . Additional time will be allocated for research and conference attendance, in accordance with fellowship guidelines. Participants will also be eligible for a quarterly incentive program, which provides payments for covering Friday or Saturday night call or the Saturday elective schedule. The UVA Health System is located in Charlottesville, Virginia, a highly desirable area known for its quality of life, with proximity to Washington D.C. and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
