Adjunct Faculty, Part-time Position Summary

The Buntain School of Nursing is seeking a part-time Simulation Educator for our undergraduate program to provide clinical, educational, and technical expertise of simulation-based activities in the Skills/Simulation Lab. Essential Functions

Set-up and teaching simulation sessions. Coordinating and supervising students to ensure that simulation experiences meet course outcomes. Collaborate with nursing faculty and other inter-professional faculty to develop simulation scenarios to promote student learning, critical thinking and clinical decision making. Assisting with faculty development and training related to the use of simulation. Overseeing the collection of evaluation data on learning outcomes for simulation activities and collaborating with faculty to disseminate findings. Qualifications

The successful candidate: Holds appropriate degrees from accredited colleges or universities:

Masters degree or higher in nursing, or Bachelors degree in nursing with a Master's degree in a related field.

Holds a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington. Has current clinical experience of at least three years. Has a demonstrated record of successful teaching of nursing skills, concepts, and critical thinking. Possesses a deep, personal commitment to Jesus Christ and to the Spirit-filled life. Demonstrates a commitment to the integration of faith and learning. Shows willingness and ability to apply the Christian worldview in simulation design and instruction. Indicates a commitment to helping students to achieve overarching nursing program outcomes and student learning outcomes. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with students, faculty, university staff, clinical site personnel and its clients/patients, and the general constituency of the University. Models best instructional practices in the simulation/skills lab setting. Continually develops professional skills in aspiring students through coaching, modeling, evaluation, feedback, and direct instruction. Compensation

Based on highest applicable degree earned, the compensation range per credit is $1,194 - $1,366 (credit load ranges from 7-10). Application Requirements
