Postdoctoral Associate, Physiology and Biophysics
Position Title: Postdoctoral Associate, Physiology and Biophysics Cardiac electrophysiology research to investigate Arrhythmias, Heart Failure and Sudden Death using animal models and donor human hearts. Our group seeks highly motivated personnel to engage in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular engineering research. The main aim of the laboratory is to elucidate the mechanisms underlying development of arrhythmias, heart failure and SCD associated with obesity and circadian rhythm dysfunction. PhD in Biomedical Engineering or related discipline. Preferred Qualifications
Cardiac electrophysiology Animal handling and surgery (rodents, rabbits, pigs) Donor human hearts Optical and Electrical mapping Molecular imaging (western blot, histology, immunohistochemistry) Cardiac cell and tissue culture (incubator) Bioinformatics (transcriptomics, metabolomics, proteomics) Signal processing (optical action potentials, electrograms) Salary
Salary Range $60,000 - $70,000 Additional Salary Information The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate. Work Hours
37.5 hours per week Campus
