We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses.

Description The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients. This includes operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs, fluoroscopic images, and other diagnostic images. The Radiologic Technologist also positions patients for imaging procedures, explains procedures to patients, and ensures patient comfort and safety. The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for occasional after-hours on-call responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Services Director.

Maintains awareness to prevent surgical harm or injury to patients.

Maintains proper body mechanics while turning, lifting, bending, stretching, walking, and standing.

Carries out responsibilities assigned by the Clinical Services Director or Lead Tech.

Consistently demonstrates a high degree of accuracy in completing daily activities.

Possesses knowledge of radiographic techniques, which consistently produce optimum diagnostic quality.

Possesses a working knowledge of radiographic equipment used in the facility.

Prepare contrast media for safe administration to the patient as the physician prescribes.

Responsible for checking patients before radiographic procedures for proper preparation and allergies.

Ensures comfort and safety while positioning and immobilizing the patient for the procedure.

Adheres to federal and state radiation safety guidelines and regulations regarding patient and personnel protections, collimation, and shielding.

Cost-effectively maintains adequate supplies and equipment in appropriate working conditions.

Responsible for proper cleaning of radiological equipment.

Ensures proper monitoring, rotation, and disbursement of all stereotactic supply stock, mainly with expiration dates.

Participates in providing and presenting educational instruction on existing and newly acquired equipment and instruments.

Report damaged equipment to the Clinical Services Director and follow the procedure for damaged instruments and equipment.

Responsible for maintaining a sterile field during the procedure.

Responsible for after-hours on-call.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program.

Licensure by the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE), certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and current BLS certification are required.

Previous experience in a hospital or medical setting; C-arm experience is preferred but not required.

Must be able to stand for long periods.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Must be able to take after-hours on-call.
