Respiratory Therapist
.8 FTE - Full time benefit eligible
Day shift with every 4th weekend rotation and on-call - must be able to meet a 30 minute on-call response time during on-call shifts.
Accountabilities/Duties
Demonstrates knowledge of and behaviors consistent with the Hospital Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Compliance policies and procedures on a daily basis. Embrace and demonstrate the Mission, Vision, Values, and Dimensions. Demonstrates proficiency in the assessment of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Demonstrates proficiency in developing Respiratory Care plan for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Demonstrates clinical competence: oxygen therapy, respiratory medication delivery, hyperinflation therapy, bronchial hygiene, CPR/airway management, mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, and High flow nasal cannula (HFNC). Diagnostics: ABG, Oximetry, ECG, and PFT Directs the Pulmonary Rehab program in collaboration with the Cardiac Rehab Therapist. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program Current WI Respiratory Care Practitioner License Credentialing by the NBRC - CRTT or RRT BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications Previous acute care work experience in Respiratory Care (2+ years preferred) Preferred Qualifications
RRT preferred PALS certification Basic understanding of cardiac rhythms with experience in stress testing, ECG and PFT.
