Licensed Practical Nurse - Crisis Receiving Center
Join the Hampton‑Newport News Community Services Board as a Part‑Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Regional Crisis Stabilization Center located in the new BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center.
Shift: Every other Friday and Saturday plus holidays, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM. Pay: $24.64 per hour plus a $2.50 shift differential for evenings, overnights and holidays.
Provide nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, mental health diagnoses, or those experiencing a mental health crisis.
Assist the staff psychiatrist with prescription, administration, and monitoring of medications.
Conduct client assessments and deliver medical‑based treatment services.
Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling.
Current LPN license issued by the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
At least one year of experience administering medication or working in a substance abuse treatment, psychiatric setting, or long‑term care facility, including dispensing of narcotic medication.
Pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test, and employment reference checks.
