is currently seeking candidates for a
Boiler Mechanic
role in
Vancouver, WA . Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the startup, operation, and shutdown of all required support utilities for boiler operations, including soft water systems, evaporator condensate recovery systems, compressed air systems, related electrical systems, and natural gas supply. Maintain, start up, operate, monitor, and document boiler systems, including water chemistry, pressures, temperatures, output, gas flow, charts, records, and other critical points. Operate and monitor up to four boilers at any given time. Perform maintenance tasks involving welding, torch cutting, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ensure that preventative maintenance on equipment is completed on time and properly documented. Maintain cooling towers and ensure proper chemistry balance. Work safely and effectively during extended hours, weekends, and assigned shifts during the fresh pack season (typically July – early November). Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Technical Science preferred—or equivalent combination of training and experience. Minimum of three years’ experience operating and maintaining automatic boiler systems in an industrial evaporation or food processing environment. Proficient in welding (stick, TIG, and/or MIG) and pipe fitting across various pipe sizes. Experience in Cooling Tower maintenance, gas handling, air compressors, and water treatment systems. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventative maintenance practices. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and shift changes as needed. Retirement:
