HVAC Mechanical Engineer MEP Engineering- Mechanical Design Engineer- HVAC Design- MEP- HVAC- Plumbing Central New Jersey MEP engineering firm actively seeking to hire a mid-level mechanical engineer (MEP-HVAC and/or Plumbing) for a full-time permanent staff opportunity due to continued growth. Individuals with three or more years of experience, through to Senior level PE (Professional Engineer) opportunities exist for qualified applicants. ***Highly competitive compensation, annual performance bonus incentives, excellent benefits plan including PTO, 401(k) with employer match, work life balance, paid holidays, continued education reimbursement, and more*** Responsibilities: Develop system layouts, schematics, and detailed designs utilizing AutoCAD and Revit for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings Design & develop HVAC systems for commercial and industrial projects, ensuring energy efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with local codes and regulations. Produce detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for HVAC systems using engineering software, i.e. AutoCAD, and Revit Perform detailed heating and cooling load calculations according to ASHRAE standards to accurately determine appropriate equipment required Collaborate closely with team members, leadership, clients, architects, and associated contractors, to integrate HVAC systems into building designs Confirm created designs meet local building codes, industry standards and safety regulations Work with multi-discipline staff in designing and implementing mechanical systems in new or existing buildings Ability to perform project site visits during design and construction to ensure proper implementation of the design document Qualifications: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Plumbing Engineer or equivalent Minimum of three (3) or more years of engineering experience in the design of HVAC systems Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder Engineer in Training (EIT)or pursuing it desired Knowledge/understanding of LEED and Green Building practices is a plus Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus Strong people skills maintaining professional client relationships Excellent oral and written communication skills Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
