Our client in the local area is actively seeking to hire a senior level mechanical engineer with MEP/HVAC experience for a full-time permanent staff opportunity due to continued company growth.

Responsibilities
Experience developing HVAC system layouts, schematics, and detailed designs utilizing AutoCAD and Revit for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings
Review drawings, specifications, submittals equipment selection, and system assessments to ensure project accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and standards to meet all local regulatory requirements
Research and apply applicable codes to design
Perform detailed heating and cooling load calculations according to ASHRAE standards to accurately determine appropriate equipment required
Collaborate closely with team members, leadership, clients, architects, and associated contractors, to integrate HVAC systems into building designs
Work with multi-discipline staff in designing and implementing mechanical systems in new or existing buildings
Ability to perform project site visits during design and construction to ensure proper implementation of the design document
Qualifications
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Architectural Engineering or equivalent
Knowledge/understanding of LEED and Green Building practices is a plus
Six (6) or more years of engineering experience in the design of HVAC mechanical systems
Plumbing and/or Fire Protection experience a plus
Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit
Experience leading, mentoring, and oversight of junior engineers a plus
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Professional Engineer (PE) license desired or sitting for it
Strong interpersonal skills maintaining professional client relationships
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
