Overview
UNC Horizons Program seeks Residential Therapist to work in our residential treatment programs for women with substance abuse issues and their children in Chapel Hill. These programs operate 24/7, 365 days a year. Responsibilities
Provide direct client service (structured and informal) and supervision. Deliver individual and group client services. Work effectively in a treatment team environment. Actively participate in the residential on-call system. Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services discipline with coursework related to the area of assignment. Some positions may require certification to practice as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification Board. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Solid communication skills and the ability to work well in a treatment team setting. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
One of the following licensure is preferred: LCAS, LCAS-A, LCSW, LCSW-A, LPC, LPC-A, LPA. Experience working with populations with substance dependency issues. Experience in a women’s residential substance abuse program and in a trauma-informed environment. Special Physical/Mental Requirements
Must be able to ascend/descend stairs with or without accommodation. Position/Schedule Requirements
Evening work occasionally Night work occasionally On-call occasionally Overtime occasionally Valid NC Driver’s License Weekend work occasionally Location and Compensation
