Crisis Center of Tampa Bay The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay brings help, hope and healing to people facing serious life challenges or trauma resulting from sexual assault or abuse, domestic violence, financial distress, substance abuse, medical emergency, suicidal thoughts, emotional or situational problems. The position of Therapist I provides ongoing counseling for individuals who have been victims of trauma and their families. This position reports to the Manager of Clinical Services, or the Director of Clinical Services in their absence. Responsibilities
Provide ongoing counseling to victims of trauma and their families. Assist with community awareness and outreach activities. Participate in performance quality improvement processes and use data to improve services. Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document client cases timely. Consult with child welfare and courts regarding treatment needs. Participate in supervision, training, and community advocacy activities. Qualifications
Master’s degree in mental health or social sciences. At least one year of counseling experience and current registration as an intern with the State of Florida. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. Skills and Competencies
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and community resources. Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and supervise interns. Flexibility to work varied hours and travel as needed. Physical and Working Conditions
This role requires sitting for extended periods, effective communication, and occasional travel. Work is primarily in an office setting with some outdoor travel. Flexibility in working hours is necessary. This job is active and currently accepting applications.
