Role Overview The Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs laboratory procedures in assigned areas as licensed/certified, including analytical testing of blood and other human biological specimens. Responsibilities include pre- and post-analytical tasks, quality control, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform pre-analytical activities such as equipment maintenance, function checks, inventory control, specimen collection, and specimen processing.
Conduct post-analytical activities including reporting results and providing technical support.
Complete tests and analytical procedures efficiently and accurately per standard operating procedures.
Participate in proficiency testing and comply with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
May act as preceptor for orientation and training of new employees and students.

Qualifications
