Aerobiology, Animal Clinical Pathology and Telemetry (AAT) Senior Research Technician
to support a government customer at Ft. Detrick. This position is contingent upon contract award. Incumbents are encouraged to apply! The salary range for this exempt position is

The Employee will support laboratory activities including aerosol exposures, research protocol execution, data collection, and equipment maintenance. The role involves working in BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 labs with controlled substances, requiring BPRP and CS-PRP certification. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Generate and sample biological aerosols for pathogen studies, including animal plethysmography and bacterial/viral assays. Investigate infection events in laboratory animals, support animal protocols, and manage related paperwork and study scheduling. Conduct sample processing, storage, and assay performance, including ELISA, RT-PCR, and cytokine analysis. Perform clinical pathology evaluations such as hematology and chemistry analyses. Assist with data entry, charting, manuscript and poster preparation, and present research findings at scientific conferences. Maintain laboratory space and equipment, document maintenance, and manage supplies. Mentor and train team members, develop SOPs, and respond to audits and CAPAs. Support telemetry system assembly, calibration, troubleshooting, and data analysis for animal studies. Ensure data security, maintain training records, and perform routine laboratory and containment area duties. Provide animal support tasks as needed, including observations, sample collection, and euthanasia, under regulatory and GLP standards. Maintain certifications (CS-PRP, BPRP) and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory protocols. Travel Requirements

Job Requirements Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree required. 7 years of relevant aerosol experience preferred. Knowledge of aerosol equipment and platforms necessary. Qualifications and Requirements
Ability to work under deadlines, handle stress, and deliver results. Long hours and weekends may be required. Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills. Authorization to work in the U.S. and US citizenship required.
