POSITION PURPOSE
The Project Manager is responsible for leading assigned projects to ensure positive customer relationships, overseeing estimating, and supervising subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Management
Provide leadership from subcontractor procurement through project close-out, ensuring safety, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Manage project budgets and track costs for monthly forecasts. Conduct onsite meetings with subcontractors and owners for progress and coordination. Coordinate with Sales and Design teams to align project scope and budget with customer expectations. Maintain communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with Design team and Subcontractors to address constructability issues proactively. Coordinate monthly billings with the Accounting department, including necessary documentation. Planning & Scheduling
Create and update project schedules, tracking progress regularly. Manage subcontractor activities to meet milestones and deadlines. Advise on project constructability with the Design team. Manage changes to the project plan to ensure timely completion. Forecast material and equipment deliveries and manage delays due to weather or emergencies. Report on project timelines, progress, and adjustments. Oversight & Safety
Ensure quality construction adhering to industry standards and client needs. Work with the design team to meet contract and design requirements. Maintain onsite safety plans complying with OSHA standards. Oversee material and equipment deliveries. Organize daily site activities with subcontractors. Contracts & Permits
Administer contracts through project close-out. Draft scopes of work and bidding documents for subcontractors. Procure pricing and award subcontracts and purchase orders. Negotiate with vendors and suppliers. Obtain necessary permits, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards. Collaboration & Communication
Assist in estimating to ensure accuracy. Maintain proactive communication with customers and project teams. Ensure clear and ongoing communication to manage site issues effectively. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience 4-year degree or equivalent industry experience preferred. Background in Educational and/or Commercial construction. 6-10 years of project management experience in commercial construction. Experience with Design-Build methodology is a plus. This position offers a total pay range of $90K - $110K, depending on skills and experience, with a 5-10% bonus potential. Benefits include 100% health insurance premium coverage by PSI and up to $3K contribution to HSA.
