Accurately read and interpret product drawings. Accurately use measuring equipment (i.e., dial calipers, micrometers, pit gauges, etc.) and interpret results. Operate electrical calibration equipment. Work with line inspectors to resolve gaging problems when they occur. Work with Product/Manufacturing Engineering in the design and inspection of tooling used throughout the plant. Assist with the dimensional analysis of Returned Products, as required. Use both simple and complex precision instruments and equipment in the calibration of gages and equipment used in inspection. Responsible for the scheduling of the periodic contracted calibrations of various instruments. Perform diagnostic work and repair most of the instruments in his/her care. Verifies dimensional compliance of inserts in accordance with receiving inspection procedures. Education & Qualifications
A High School diploma or GED is required. A minimum of 1 year of quality control or inspection experience is preferred. Experience with measurement tools (i.e., dial calipers, micrometers, pit gauges, etc.) is preferred. Must pass screening exam (math and reading comprehension) with a minimum overall score of 80%. Basic computer skills are required. Details
