Overview
Harbor, a leading provider of behavioral healthcare, seeks a dynamic Supervising Clinical Therapist to join the Developmental and Behavioral Services team at Harbor's Port Sylvania location. This role blends clinical supervision of student interns and independently licensed clinicians with providing direct treatment to a manageable caseload of children, adolescents, and/or adults. Expertise in working with individuals with developmental delays will be crucial to client and team success. Responsibilities
Maintain clinical responsibility for individual, family, and/or group counseling. Provide telehealth services in accordance with Harbor policies using authorized equipment. Complete discharge planning, linkage to additional services as needed, and comprehensive diagnostic assessments and treatment planning. Complete clinical documentation in Harbor-approved formats and submit according to policy. Meet or exceed unit/direct service expectations for billable services. Provide crisis intervention services and be available for consultation. Facilitate referrals to internal and external resources. Manage caseload effectively and ensure transfers/discharges occur in a timely manner; maintain number of open inactive cases at or below 10% of total caseload. May provide AOD case management, individual, group and family counseling, urinalysis, and crisis intervention at Harbor sites or community settings, as clinically indicated; may provide IOP services at an AOD-certified site. May provide diagnostic and therapy services under supervision of a licensed psychologist and/or physician. Provide counseling to a greater proportion of clients with multiple diagnoses and complex care needs. Assist in training and supervision of students and staff seeking independent licensure, as supervised. Obtain/maintain Health Officer certification and provide pre-screening services as determined by the Clinical Manager. Complete Peer/Clinical Records Reviews timely and accurately; demonstrate satisfactory performance on reviews. Participate in peer consultations, staff meetings, continuing education, and program development as requested. Review authorizations to disclose / obtain confidential information (ROIs/PHIs). Contribute to clinical outcomes and client satisfaction reporting. Engage in agency-wide and departmental clinical research as needed and possible. Remain current with trends in essential job competencies and pursue ongoing professional growth. Be flexible with hours, including evenings and/or weekends; may work at multiple sites or in home/community settings. Provide Community Psychiatric Supportive Services (CPSS), including needs assessment, ISP formulation and revision with clients and families, crisis prevention/intervention, education and consultation, and coordination of services to support client functioning. Qualifications
Minimum of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related Behavioral/Mental Health field from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a Master’s degree, a Bachelor’s degree with 20 years of supervisory experience may be substituted. License to practice independently with a supervising credential as a Social Worker/Counselor in Ohio (LISW-S, LPCC-S) or as a Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA). Clear verbal and written communication with diverse audiences; ability to represent Harbor in the medical/healthcare community. Proficiency and accuracy in computer use; strong documentation, treatment, and assessment skills. Prefer licensure in chemical dependency or experience/training in treating substance use disorders in addition to mental health licensure. For specialized programs: Developmental Peds experience with adults/children with developmental delays. CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI Certifications required within 90 days of employment. About Harbor
