Mountain Springs Recovery is dedicated to helping people overcome their struggles with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues. Our centers are staffed with people with extensive experience in treating adults with substance use and mental health disorders. The Therapist is responsible for providing individual and group therapy, assessing and monitoring client behavior while in treatment for chemical and alcohol abuse and dependency. In collaboration with the Clinical Director, the Therapist is responsible for documenting client behavior, group participation and therapy, caring for clients, and coordinating treatment and discharge planning. Therapists will also be providing crisis management, and education for the clients and family/significant others in therapeutic milieu setting. Responsibilities
Main/Daily Responsibilities Provide individual and group therapy using a variety of modalities: CBT, DBT, EFT Complete and maintain individual and group therapy notes and documentation Develop and maintain positive relationships with external customers, families and clients and employees Therapist will provide assessment and participate in the treatment planning with clients and their families/significant others Interview clients to obtain information concerning social history, treatment, and other pertinent information Review results of tests given by psychologists to evaluate clients’ needs Facilitate and evaluate outcome measurements and adjust interventions and treatment plans accordingly Change method and degree of therapy when indicated by resident reactions/needs Discuss progress toward treatment goals with clients Assist and facilitate discharge planning and community outreach Initiate, facilitate and promote on-site activities, therapeutic support and educational groups and community meetings Respond to emergencies and initiate action as required Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings Preferred Qualifications
Experience with education of chemical and alcohol dependency and abuse Possess knowledge of HIPAA Possess experience and education in chemical and alcohol dependency and abuse Possess experience with crisis management Show skills and competency in working with clients, from undertaking clinical assessments, planning and delivery of care to review of effective methods of interventions Solution-focused with strong time management Strong professional boundaries with excellent communication and listening skills Sensitive to religious, ethnic and cultural differences Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Knowledge of CBT, DBT and 12-step recovery is a plus Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree in clinical psychology or social work Unlicensed Therapist License: LCSW, LPCC, ADDC Valid Driver’s License Current CPR and First Aid Certification Current TB Test Physical Requirements
