Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) – Mountain Springs Recovery
Location: 1865 Woodmoor Dr., Monument, CO 80132
Schedule: Full-Time • Salary: $17.00-$21.00/HR DOE

Role Summary The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for assessing client needs and monitoring behavior while at the program. Under the supervision of Operations leaders, the BHT documents daily client participation and interactions, helps coordinate treatment, execute daily programming, and transport clients. BHTs may also assist clinical and medical staff with crisis management, groups, and education, as needed.
Responsibilities
Completion of all Behavioral Health Technician duties and/or documentation within Mountain Springs and state mandated timelines, within HIPAA guidelines
Conduct client rounds according to state protocols and document appropriately
Assist with new client admission intake procedures according to Mountain Springs policies (urine analysis, belongings searches, and paperwork)
Administering detoxification protocols (completion of vital signs and rounds) on all detoxification clients
Transportation of clients to appointments, meetings, and surrounding airports, etc.
Crisis intervention to include de-escalation of client situations, escalations to medical/clinical staff as needed
Assist with supervision of clients with general household chores, cleanliness, and food preparation; clean up as required
Assist and participate with on-site activities, support groups, outings, and community meetings, as assigned
Recognize individuals under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and document appropriately
Attend and participate in staff meetings and continuous education
Other duties, as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
1 year experience in Healthcare or Customer Service-related field preferred
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or GED preferred
Driver’s License
Minimum 18 years old
Current CPR & First Aid Certification
Current TB Test within the last 6 months
Must successfully complete a background check and drug screen
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations including standing for long periods, walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, lifting up to 20 lbs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
