Job Summary ASE Master Certified Independent technicians are welcome to apply! We seek highly skilled and motivated certified Land Rover technicians to join our team at JLR of Columbia in Columbia, South Carolina. Our service department is growing at an exponential rate. We have increased labor hour sales by 700 hours and are looking to increase our overall hour sales to 1,800 hours per month. Our service advisors average over 4.0 hours per customer pay repair order. As a Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles, ensuring that they are safe, reliable, and meet our dealership's high‑quality standards. This full‑time position offers a base salary plus commission, with a pay rate of $40 to $50 per hour with increases based on performance.
We are located in Columbia, South Carolina. Columbia is the state capital and an economic engine for industrial and corporate growth. It offers a competitive housing market, proximity to lakes and beaches, and hunting opportunities.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $40 to $50 per hour (paid semi-monthly)
Performance Based Increase
100 hours turned = $2.50 increase
120 hours turned = additional $2.50 increase

Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using dealership-approved diagnostic equipment
Provide accurate and detailed estimates for necessary repairs and obtain customer approval before work is performed
Follow dealership and manufacturer procedures and guidelines for safety, quality, and efficiency
Complete all repair orders and proper documentation, including recording labor hours and parts used
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on new models and technologies
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow proper safety protocols at all times
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Jaguar and/or Land Rover brands
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Must have own tools and equipment
ASE certifications and/or manufacturer training is preferred but not required
