Job Summary and Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings
Provide clinical supervision and teaching for two fellows in training in the Creighton University School of Medicine Phoenix Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship program
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with rotational weekend hospital and call coverage
Be part of an interdisciplinary team that provides excellent care for all patients
Job Requirements
MD or DO degree
Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency program and a Hospice and Palliative Medicine or Geriatric Medicine fellowship
A passion for providing clinically excellent care
Active/Eligible ABMS certification Internal Medicine / Hospice & Palliative Care Medicine
Must have or be eligible for an AZ State medical license
Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
Where You'll Work Dignity Health Medical Group – Arizona is seeking a full‑time clinical and academic physician for the multidisciplinary Palliative Care service line in its flagship location of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Provide direct patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings
Provide clinical supervision and teaching for two fellows in training in the Creighton University School of Medicine Phoenix Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship program
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with rotational weekend hospital and call coverage
Be part of an interdisciplinary team that provides excellent care for all patients
The position consists of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities within a single location on the hospital campus. You will have access to full support staff, including nursing, social work, and chaplain support. The medical group is a multi‑specialty group that includes specialists in primary care, pulmonary medicine, endocrinology, palliative care, cardiology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, and other surgical specialties.
