Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a BE/BC Hyperbaric Medicine physician to join our collegial group of physicians and APPs. Corewell Health in Grand Rapids offers the only 24/7 emergent and critical care hyperbaric oxygen services in the state. Responsibilities
Provide outpatient wound care, hyperbaric and limb preservation clinic services, with an outpatient/inpatient mix of about 70% outpatient and 30% inpatient; in clinic, see approximately 20 patients. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary Limb Preservation Board (meets weekly). Teach residents and medical students; participate in research opportunities in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Provide telemedicine consults for regional hospitals, some nursing homes, and in-home virtual visits for patients. Work with monoplace and multiplace hyperbaric chambers and manage all UHMS-approved indications. Weeknight call: 1 night per week; Weekend call: 1 in 5 weekends. Consider a split position between Wound/HBO and Emergency Medicine. Telemedicine consults for all regional hospitals, some nursing homes, and in-home virtual visits for patients. Qualifications
BE/BC Hyperbaric physician. Primary specialties may include Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or surgical specialty. Fellowship-trained preferred, not mandatory. Wound Certification required (can be completed after hire). Licenses and certifications: MD or DO license in Michigan (upon hire); DEA registration (Michigan); BLS (AHA or ARC) within 120 days; ACLS if required by specialty. Location:
