CommonSpirit Health . Job Summary and Responsibilities We are offering a $25K Sign-On Bonus and up to $24K toward Student Loan Forgiveness for eligible hires. Assist Interventional Cardiologists, Radiologists, and Vascular Surgeons in Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology/Endovascular procedures. Perform duties as scrub and monitoring staff. Provide radiation safety and general safety for patients, themselves and other staff. Deliver patient and family education and support customer satisfaction and service excellence. Work as part of the Cath Lab/IR/Endovascular team and support nursing functions. Demonstrate and maintain competencies related to imaging and device-based equipment used in these interventional procedures. Perform with competency in Code STEMI and Code Stroke alerts. Document and evaluate outcomes of interventions. Provide on-call services as assigned. Essential Key Job Responsibilities Operate C-arm radiation equipment, provide radiation protection, and demonstrate competency for all procedural applications. Prepare sterile fields, function as scrub assistant and hemodynamic monitor. Be knowledgeable about prep and use of current devices in Cath Lab/IR/Endovascular inventory, including atherectomy, IABP, IVUS, Impella, CTO, DES, DCB, OCT, thrombectomy, and embolic coils. Procedures include PCI/PTCA/PTA, cerebral and visceral angiography/interventions, stent placement, line placements, dialysis access maintenance, pacemaker and ICD implant. Demonstrate rapid decision making, critical thinking, and clinical leadership; act as a preceptor. Respond quickly and effectively to STEMI, Stroke, respiratory and cardiac arrest. Provide patient/family education related to procedures and cardiovascular disease risk factors. Assist nursing staff in all aspects of patient care; report deviations of standards to nurse leader. Maintain CPACS database. Demonstrate competency in arterial and venous sheath removal, hemostasis, and access site management. Demonstrate competency in EKG recognition and hemodynamics; alert Cardiologists to baseline changes. Provide peri-procedure care and assist in pre- and post-procedure care. Maintain readiness for rapid transport for emergent or salvage CABG or vascular surgery. Other duties as assigned by manager. Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology Required Licensure and Certifications: Licensed Medical Radiographer (MRAD:KY); Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR, RCES, RCIS); AHA Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS-CPR) within 5 days; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology Where You'll Work Saint Joseph Hospital is a 433-bed facility located in Lexington, Kentucky.
