. Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physical Therapist, per diem - Vestibular Rehab (ACC). This role involves evaluating physical therapy needs and implementing comprehensive, medically prescribed treatment plans for assigned patients within a supervised rehabilitation program. Job Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned. Conduct initial assessments and evaluations of physical therapy needs for specific patient populations, reviewing medical charts, clarifying referral and treatment orders, and selecting assessment tools. Demonstrate clinical decision-making and adapt treatment plans as needed. Implement treatment plans according to professional and health system standards, establishing achievable goals with patients and families, selecting appropriate aids and referring to other services as necessary. Educate patients and families during rehabilitation. Complete all documentation accurately for patient care and reimbursement, ensuring compliance with departmental and accreditation standards. Participate in clinical education of students and other professionals, supervising and teaching techniques and skills, fostering positive learning experiences. Maintain patient care productivity as indicated by unit procedures, demonstrating the ability to meet expected contact levels. Demonstrate proficiency in skills required for the assigned patient population. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, NY State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit, good communication skills, and BLS or CPR/AED certification are required. Required Licenses:
Phys Thrpst Temp Permit-NYS, Phys Thrpst License-NYS Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field preferred. Qualified candidates must communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
