Industrial Maintenance Technician (experienced)
Dunlop Protective Footwear in Havre de Grace, MD is the global market leader in safety footwear. We are expanding our team at our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing plant.
The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs equipment in the manufacturing plant. The role involves programming PLCs, troubleshooting machines, and performing basic welding tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on machinery.
Mentor other technicians and collaborate with contractors on complex issues.
Ensure all safety systems and guarding are in good working order.
Order parts, assist in machinery moves, and maintain auxiliary equipment.
Keep work areas clean, support lean manufacturing tools, and follow environmental policies.
Maintain a safe 5S working environment and report unsafe conditions.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Education
High School diploma or equivalent
3 years of trades experience
Job Experience
Basic hand tools
Injection molding machines and automation
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
AC/DC motors
Fork truck/boom lifts
Blueprint/schematic reading
Basic welding
Basic PLC programming
Preferred: experience in injection molding or plastic industry
Knowledge and Skills
Repair and maintain production equipment
Preventive maintenance in all areas
Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
Basic computer knowledge
