Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, and optimizing production output. Responsibilities

Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of CNC lathe machinists across multiple shifts. Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan machining operations. Program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC lathes as needed using G-code, Fanuc, or similar control systems. Optimize CNC programs for efficiency, tool life, and part quality using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360). Monitor and enforce quality control standards in coordination with the QC department. Train and mentor operators in machine setup, safe operating procedures, and best practices. Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet delivery timelines. Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, tool usage, and machine maintenance. Lead continuous improvement initiatives for workflow, setup time reduction, scrap reduction, and tooling. Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and corrective maintenance of CNC equipment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on the shop floor. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Technical degree or certification in machining, CNC, or manufacturing is a plus. Minimum 5 years of CNC lathe operation experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role. Strong hands-on experience in CNC programming (G-code, CAM software). Working knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and machining principles. Familiarity with various materials (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.) and cutting tools. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a production setting. Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus. Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity and precision in handling machine tools and materials. Tolerance for noise, coolant, and shop-floor environmental conditions. Benefits
