Crane Service Technician role at TAS Energy. The position requires 3+ years of experience in repairing overhead cranes and other equipment in a manufacturing shop. The technician will perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on cranes at all TAS facilities, and assist Maintenance Mechanics with repairs of other equipment (e.g., scissor lifts, boom lifts). Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair overhead cranes and other equipment Ensure proper preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner Read and comprehend technical manuals Operate lift trucks and equipment as required Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company policies Maintain a clean and safe working environment Other duties as assigned by TAS Job Skills
Ability to work independently and without constant supervision Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal Ability to maintain professional and respectful relationships with internal and external customers Ability to proactively plan assigned tasks to reduce equipment downtime Education & Training
High School Diploma or GED Minimum Requirements
Crane Certification 3+ years of experience with crane repairs Clean and valid driver’s license Basic mechanic tools necessary to complete required responsibilities Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Shop environment Exposure to elements, with tolerance for typical conditions Normal vision and absence of color blindness Physical effort up to frequently lifting/moving materials up to 50 lbs Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach Safety glasses and hard hat required; earplugs recommended Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day, up to 6 days a week Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment Steel-toe boots required in manufacturing facility Company Overview
