Field Service Technician - Coppell, TX area (on-site)

Position Overview We are hiring an on‑site Field Service Technician in Coppell, TX. You will provide preventive and emergency maintenance to our customers, ensuring equipment is fully functional. You will perform the accountabilities outlined below and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
Perform high‑quality preventive and emergency maintenance services on Entrust equipment
Work independently, diagnosing and resolving issues on systems that may include:
Mechanical embossers, thermal imaging and laminating, magstripe and chip data writing, ultraviolet curing
Perform day‑to‑day repairs such as:
Cleaning rollers, sensors, cavities, etc.
Calibrating sensors and data read/write devices
Replacing parts for wear and misalignment (servo & stepper motors, spindles, clutches, belts, bearings, etc.)
Replacing temperature/proximity/position sensors
Adjusting software settings for temperature, hardware positioning, etc.
Using repair and service manuals to troubleshoot card printer systems
Using test equipment such as voltmeters and laptops
Using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches
Maintain accurate inventory levels
Follow established processes for service activity reporting and call management
Accept, organize, and respond to service calls via the dispatch system
Customer Interaction
Interact with customer operations staff
Be reliable, timely, and maintain a positive attitude
Resolve most situations independently without management assistance
Continuously improve customer relations
Adapt to customer culture while modeling Entrust values
Learning and Development
Participate in company‑sponsored personal development and quality initiatives
Complete all required training and development courses
Develop competency in required applications to confidently use diverse software and systems
Assist less experienced personnel with difficult repair problems
Share ideas, problem‑resolution successes, and suggestions for process improvement
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years electromechanical technician experience
Proficient problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
Proficient with PCs, current operating systems, and relevant software applications
Willing to drive to multiple customer sites daily
Flexible hours/shifts, assignments, and travel—including temporary off‑site short‑term assignments
Availability for on‑call duty
Ability to lift up to 70 lb and spend majority of shift bending, stooping, walking
Will need to work overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Electronics or related field, or verifiable training
Additional electromechanical technician or field service experience
Entrust central issuance experience
Advanced technical education
Proficient in electro‑mechanics, digital electronics, and software needed to maintain Entrust and third‑party products
Skilled with tools and electronic test equipment

Compensation Range The anticipated starting base pay for this position is $21.60–$33.95 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills, and experience. The position is eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan. In addition to pay, eligible employees receive comprehensive health and well‑being programs, including medical, vision, dental, 401(k) matching, life and disability insurance, mental health coaching, virtual fitness programs, paid personal time off, 12 paid holidays, parental leave, and education reimbursement.
