Facility: 10628 Park Rd. Charlotte, NC 28210 Beds: 34 Average Census: 32 Minimum years of experience: 18 months of Med/Surg/Telemetry experience RN requirements: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS CNA requirements: BLS Chest Pain Center: Yes Stroke Center: Yes Trauma Designation: No Teaching Hospital: No Region: Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, Levine Children’s Hospital) Responsibilities and duties
Provide direct patient care in Med/Surg/Telemetry as assigned Interpret cardiac rhythm and manage non-titrating cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone) as appropriate Care for patients with tubes/drains, IV starts, wound care and dressings, blood products Collaborate with multidisciplinary team; participate in patient education and discharge planning Monitor patient conditions and respond per unit protocols Support within department: CNA care and mobility; 24/7 phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, pharmacy on unit, case management, clinical nurse specialist, RT availability for Nebulizer treatments Float to facilities within scope of practice as needed Qualifications and skills
RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS CNA: BLS Skills: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating cardiac drips experience, general med/surg skills, tubes/drains care, IV starts, wound care/dressing changes, blood products Schedule, shifts and expectations
Shift times: 0650-1920 or 1850-0720 Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks Weekend rotation: every other weekend Holidays: Travelers work 75% of holidays RTO: Up to 6 days off; add time to end of contract if contracted hours cannot be met Floating: Required within region needs and within scope of practice; travel between facilities compensated while on shift Parking: Free Unit culture: Welcoming; Helpful teammates Perks and additional notes
