Sr. Assoc. Dean of Graduate Nursing Education Position at University of South Florida College of Nursing. The Senior Associate Dean of Graduate Nursing Education provides executive leadership over graduate nursing education, including master’s, DNP, and collaborative PhD/DNP programs.

Responsibilities

Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction across all graduate-level nursing programs.

Align graduate nursing education with institutional strategic goals, national standards, and evolving healthcare needs.

Drive long‑term academic growth, innovation, and programmatic excellence.

Develop meaningful joint programming between the PhD and DNP curricula.

Maintain operational oversight and ensure effective program management.

Qualifications Minimum

Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.

Demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.

Ability to produce creative work, professional writing, or research in peer‑reviewed journals.

Meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Associate Professor.

Additional Minimum

DNP or PhD in Nursing with a master’s in nursing; or PhD in another health‑related field with a master’s in nursing.

Eligibility for Florida nursing licensure with specialty certification as an advanced practice nurse.

Sustained scholarly activity commensurate with rank.

Eligible for appointment as associate or full professor at hire, based on research, teaching, and service record.

Evidence of progressive leadership positions in academic nursing.

Demonstrated commitment to student success and excellence in graduate education.

Preferred

Expertise in mentoring teaching faculty and building teams.

Experience in grant writing to support graduate education.

Experience establishing clinical partnerships.

Financial management skills.

Evidence of leadership in the profession of nursing.
