Overview
Radiologic Technologist - Flex - Part Time at GoHealth Urgent Care. The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This flex role travels to multiple centers during one shift to provide on-the-go RT coverage. Minimum hourly rate starts at $26/hour and is commensurate with experience. Bonus potential of up to $600/month.
Responsibilities
The Radiologic Technologist (RT) performs x-ray procedures under the direction of medical providers to assist in diagnosis for patients from newborn to elderly.
Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients and report results to Medical Providers.
Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care Centers; collaborate with Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients.
Flex RT – Travels to multiple centers during one shift to provide on-the-go RT coverage.
Patient Registration: secure required paperwork and insurance documentation, verify insurance and patient eligibility; process co-pays and schedule patient appointments for assigned center; coordinate provider referrals to assigned Specialist; answer patient questions regarding their care and keep them informed of their status.
Patient Preparation and Rooming: inform technical staff of patient flow; prepare patients for examination, interview to verify information, record medical history, confirm purpose of visit; perform preliminary physical checks (vital signs) and escalate critical cases to provider as needed.
Point of care testing as needed (e.g., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG) and provide patient information to the provider.
Stocking: maintain exam rooms, front desk and reception area; ensure providers have medical supplies; maintain supply inventory and expiration dates.
Administrative: maintain medical records and scanning; answer calls and mail; ensure reception is well maintained; conduct courtesy follow-ups for patient care; perform opening and closing duties including cash handling and securing the building.
Operate and document daily controls, calibrate equipment, and maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs; troubleshoot breakdowns and submit repair tickets as needed.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required; graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program.
Licenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire (ARC or AHA); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire; State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required at time of hire (if applicable by state law).
Experience: Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
