About the Institution: University Health Physicians (UHP) serves as the physician group practice for UMKC School of Medicine and supports several residencies. Many physicians have teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students. UHP is also the primary physician group for Truman Medical Centers/University Health, known as Kansas City's Essential Hospital, which is the safety net healthcare system for Jackson County/Kansas City, MO. TMC/UH is a 547-bed, not-for-profit health system recognized for delivering high-quality, compassionate care. During the 2020 pandemic, it was acknowledged as a regional leader in COVID care and testing. Job Description: We seek a BC/BE Maternal Fetal Medicine faculty member to join our busy practice serving high-acuity patients. The position reports to the Chair of OB/GYN, Anthony Odibo, MD, who is the academic chair for UMKC SOM and the clinical chair for UH. Facility Highlights: UH Truman Medical Center is the only Level IV designated maternal care center in western Missouri. Features a brand new state-of-the-art Level 3 NICU. Recently remodeled Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and OB Emergency Room. Learn more at

Academic Programs: The UMKC SOM Department of OB/GYN offers a residency program, maternal-fetal medicine fellowship, newly approved Urogynecology and Pelvic Surgery fellowship, and pediatric and adolescent gynecology fellowship. The department also includes subspecialties such as Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, and academic specialists in OB/GYN. Opportunities for research and academic achievement are abundant. Rank, tenure status, and compensation are based on experience and qualifications.
