Senior Electrical Estimator
to join our team. We are an award-winning electrical design-build firm with headquarters in Indianapolis, IN, and offices in Denver, CO; Los Angeles, CA; and Naples, FL. Create and revise estimates, proposals, and change orders for current and prospective projects. Work with business development and project management to build bids with accurate labor, time, and materials. Identify project cost trends to support cost reduction and process improvements. Coordinate project handoff between estimating and project management after an award. Request and review material and equipment quotes from vendors and suppliers; ensure adherence to quote requests and accuracy. Perform takeoffs for assigned projects and supervise takeoffs for team projects. Lead team bids by understanding RFP/bid documents and delegating tasks based on experience and ability. Lead design-build bids by identifying project unknowns and ambiguities and quantifying them. Train new estimators in department strategies and processes; conduct weekly outreach on pending bids. Qualifications
Minimum eight (8) years of electrical estimating experience; large commercial, industrial, or water treatment experience preferred. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an Electrical Journeyman’s License. Strong quantitative and analytical skills; proficient in reading construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and data sheets. Working knowledge of the National Electric Code and electrical theory. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; ability to learn new software quickly. Experience with electrical estimating software such as Accubid. Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills. Ability to travel on a scheduled or limited basis. Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; may lift up to 15 pounds. Work environment requires stationary duties with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and typical office accommodations. Compensation and Benefits
