$47.00/hr - $50.00/hr Days and Nights available This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all electrical systems and electronic components on site. The individual will be expected to have a thorough understanding of the purpose and function of electrical systems, electronic equipment, and instrumentation throughout the facility, and must be able to make sound, informed decisions when situations arise. Key Responsibilities Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and specialized processing equipment, including conveyors and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment, and interconnect cables and wiring between systems. Demonstrate a proven history of safe, responsible electrical work, with strong knowledge of NEC safety standards and related codes. Diagnose and repair malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, replacing damaged or broken wiring as needed. Collaborate with maintenance personnel (general maintenance, mechanics, and electronics technicians) to troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions. Replace faulty components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices. Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, including printed circuit boards. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics. Replace electric motor bearings, rewire motors, and perform tests to verify proper operation and repair quality. Plan and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus within buildings as needed. Education & Experience Current Journeyman Electrical License from Oregon or a state with reciprocity. Minimum of 3 years of related electrical experience and/or formal training. Certifications Active Journeyman Electrical License from Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Maine, Montana, Arkansas, Washington, or Wyoming. Additional Responsibilities Diagnose and repair faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Maintain and utilize a sufficient set of personal hand tools as required by supervision.
