Hurst Construction is a premier custom home builder and remodeler in the Kansas City area. Our custom cabinet and millwork shop creates exceptionally well-crafted cabinetry, millwork, and trim components for our high-end residential projects. We’re passionate about quality craftsmanship and are growing our shop to serve more clients with bespoke woodwork.
About The Role
We’re seeking a fabricator to join our creative, quality-focused team. Whether you’re an experienced cabinet maker or an enthusiastic learner with a passion for woodworking, we want to hear from you. This is an opportunity to develop your craft while working on beautiful custom projects.
What You’ll Do
Fabricate custom cabinets (euro-style, full overlay), millwork, and furniture components.
Operate traditional woodworking machinery (table saw, jointer, planer, wide belt sander, shapers, etc.).
Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
Build and assemble pieces to exceptional quality standards.
Maintain shop safety and cleanliness.
Work collaboratively with our skilled team.
Assist with deliveries and installations when needed.
Track time and materials for projects.
What We’re Looking For
For Experienced Fabricators
3+ years of cabinet making or woodworking experience.
Proficiency with shop machinery and hand tools.
Knowledge of euro-style cabinet construction.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently.
For Learners/Entry-Level
Genuine passion for woodworking and learning the craft.
Willingness to follow direction and develop skills.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Basic hand tools (we’ll help you build your collection).
All Candidates
Valid driver’s license (ability to drive box truck is a plus).
Ability to lift 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship.
Self-motivated with good work habits.
