Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Advanced Development
We are seeking a
Senior Mechanical Engineer
to join our
Advanced Development team , focusing on innovation, technology vetting, rapid prototyping, and early-stage product development. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of our products—from concept through to production—by driving the development of new technologies and platforms.
Responsibilities
Lead or support the mechanical design and development of innovative new products and platforms.
Execute rapid prototyping, technology feasibility studies, and advanced concept testing.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee development, validation, and verification testing.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support seamless product transitions from concept to launch.
Contribute to Design for Manufacturability (DFM), cost optimization, and production readiness.
Conduct and document design risk assessments (FMEA), tolerance stack-ups, and test plans.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in product development or advanced engineering roles.
Solid understanding of core engineering principles, including:
Heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics
Combustion systems (pre-mix, atmospheric), and heat exchanger design
Pressure vessel design and materials selection
Appliance and HVAC system design
Experience with a range of manufacturing processes:
Sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, machining, and casting
Proficient in DFM, FMEA, tolerance analysis, and test plan development.
Familiarity with high-volume, cost-sensitive manufacturing environments.
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
3D modeling, CFD, FEA capabilities are a plus
Self-starter with a proactive mindset, capable of working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
