GHD . GHD seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Design Organization (EDO). The applicant should be knowledgeable in the delivery of civil design projects, including execution and delegation of tasks. You will support a wide variety of clients, both public and private, spanning multiple industries and market sectors. This position will be based out of California offices (Irvine, San Diego, Long Beach, Concord, Santa Rosa, Roseville, Sacramento, Fresno, San Luis Obispo, Redding, or Roseville). Engineering Solutions Design: Design engineering solutions and the associated validation process to enable the realization of a design brief that conforms to organizational and/or regulatory standards. Engineering Standards Specification: Contribute to the analysis of information, drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and evaluation of their effectiveness within the engineering discipline. Product and Solution Development: Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches within established systems. Knowledge Management System: Work within established knowledge management systems to deliver preset outcomes for an area of responsibility. Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities through assessment and development planning, training and coaching; pursue external professional accreditation where relevant; maintain knowledge of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices. Engineering Observations: Carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and the integrity of existing installations or structures, and specify remedial works to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements. Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes and use change management programs to address them. Client & Customer Management (External): Manage relationships with small clients while assisting senior colleagues with larger key clients and customers. Education and Experience
Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil Engineering CA PE preferred Minimum 5 years experience Understands civil site design and related elements (site & access improvements, site utility layout and design, grading and stormwater drainage) General Utilities - Stormwater, Sanitary Sewer, Recycled Water, Electrical Knowledge of accessibility design preferred Entitlement / land use planning - understanding of permitting processes Ability to assemble plan specs and estimates (PS&E) Storm Water design - Hydrology, hydraulics (closed conduit and open channel flow), hydromodification, storm water quality NAVFAC experience is a plus Design Build Experience is a plus Salary
Salary Range: $83,000-$138,000 based on experience About Us
