Overview
The Henry Ford Health Sterling Heights Emergency Department is a 15-bed free-standing facility. Our staff has a close working relationship. The physicians, nurses, and technicians are all centrally located for ease of collaboration and communication, which leads to a positive work environment. While a small ED, we are fast paced and work well together. We are looking for candidates to join our team.
General Summary Assist with patient care based on individual needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of a registered nurse or Provider.
Education/Experience Required
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
BCLS certification required.
Previous Emergency Department Technician, Medical Assistant experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensures Required One of the following certifications/programs required:
B-EMT
Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program.
Completion of a formal nursing education program.
Completion of a formal medical doctor education program
OR One (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience in lieu of above completed certification/program.
Additional Requirements
(Must complete applicable certification/program within 12 months of hire).
Successful completion of a 180-day orientation period required.
EMT license preferred.
