The Henry Ford Health Sterling Heights Emergency Department is a 15-bed free-standing facility.
Our staff has a close working relationship. The physicians, nurses, and technicians are all centrally located for ease of collaboration and communication, which leads to a positive work environment.
While a small ED, we are fast paced and work well together. We are looking for candidates to join our team.
GENERAL SUMMARY Assist with patient care based on individual needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of a registered nurse or Provider.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Previous Emergency Dept Technician, MA or Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
BCLS certification required.
LICENSURES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED One of four certifications required:
B-EMT
Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program
Completion of a formal nursing education program to practice as an RN offshore
Completion of a formal medical doctor education program to practice as a medical doctor offshore
EMT license preferred
Successful completion of a 180-day orientation period required
