Overview
2nd Shift — Under the general direction of the Tooling Area Manager, responsible for supporting production operations by servicing die sets, repairing and troubleshooting metal stamping dies, and making corrections when possible with the dies in the presses. Uses SPC data to determine dimensional integrity for die adjustments and documentation. Responsibilities
Provide die servicing, repair, and troubleshooting; implement corrections in presses; analyze SPC data to ensure dimensional integrity; document adjustments. Qualifications
Education: Journeyman (preferred) or completion of a certified 4 year apprenticeship program in die making and/or journeyman Tool & Die maker (preferred). Experience: 5 years of consecutive work in a T&D shop (preferred). Licenses & Certifications: Journeyman (preferred). Skills: Troubleshooting dies (preferred). Behaviors: Detail oriented — capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well (per the job description).
