Maintenance Technician / General Mechanical
professional to join a leading production facility in
Danbury, Connecticut . This role is responsible for supporting the maintenance and operation of large-scale chemical manufacturing equipment.
The Maintenance Technician assists with pipe cutting, preassembly, and installation of plumbing systems and components, while also monitoring production systems to ensure proper function. This position plays a vital role in building, testing, repairing, and modifying equipment to maintain efficient and safe production operations.
Work Schedule 2nd Shift:
Mon–Fri, 2:30pm–11:00pm
3rd Shift:
Sun–Fri, 10:30pm–7:00am
Pay $55,000 – $70,000 per year (based on experience)
What You’ll Do
Perform maintenance, installation, and repair of plumbing and mechanical systems (steam, water, gas, drainage, etc.)
Operate tools such as pipe cutters, threading machines, reamers, and other plumbing/mechanical tools
Assist with preassembly and installation of production system components
Inspect, troubleshoot, and modify production and facility equipment
Support building system maintenance and safety inspections
Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery as needed
Follow all environmental, safety, and maintenance policies
What You Bring
High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of mechanical or plumbing maintenance experience
(technical certification or license in a plumbing-related field may substitute for experience)
Strong mechanical knowledge of pumps, boilers, heaters, and related systems
Ability to read and follow technical manuals and record operational data
Experience with HVAC and plumbing system maintenance
Skilled use of hand and power tools
Reliable, safety-focused, and eager to grow
